The cozy comfort watch everyone loves so much is back for a second season. 2. The Rig

Vigil meets 1889 in this nail-biting thriller, set on an oil rig off the coast of Scotland left stranded after all communication with land is cut off. As systems fail and paranoia rises, the rig’s hardened and work weary captain, played by Iain Glen of Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey fame, attempts to solve the mystery of their isolation while keeping tensions in check. This is a true thriller and a perfect binge-watch.

3. Break Point

Where can I watch it? On Netflix from January 13th

If you love Drive to Survive, the Formula 1 reality show that has become one of Netflix’s biggest successes, get ready for Break Point. This time, the focus is the world of professional tennis, and given it will drop on the platform just before the Australian Open, we think the timing couldn’t be more perfect for this sure to be talked about binge watch. (Nick Kyrgios is even one of the stars!) Game, set and match – Netflix.

4. The Last Of Us

Where can I watch it? On Binge from January 16th

Based on one of the world’s biggest video games, and from the creators of epic series Chernobyl, comes this survival epic. The Last Of Us looks set to be the next must-watch series, starring Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones’ Lyanna Mormont) as a young girl who could be the key to saving humankind from a dystopian future and Joel (Game of Thrones’ Oberyn Martell), the mysterious survivor hired to smuggle her to a new location. Can they survive the journey ahead of them? And what will lie at the end of it? Anticipation for this show is sky high, especially considering the incredible supporting cast they have assembled: Murray Bartlett, Anna Torv, Nick Offerman, Melanie Lynskey, Storm Reid and Nico Parker.

5. That ‘90s Show

Where can I watch it? On Netflix from January 19th

Netflix is looking to recreate the familiar, nostalgic magic of That ‘70s Show with this reboot, fittingly called That ‘90s Show. This time, Donna, Fez, Kelso and Jackie are the grown ups and there’s a new generation of teenagers ruling the roost. True fans will definitely be tuning in. Are you one of them?

6. Shrinking

Where can I watch it? On AppleTV+ from January 27th

The creators of Ted Lasso – including one of its stars and writers, Brett Goldstein – are behind this buzz-worthy new comedy, which stars Jason Segel as a grieving therapist who decides to start telling his clients everything that is on his mind and exactly what he thinks. Harrison Ford co-stars in a major role. The elements of this are all pretty major and if it comes together like it did for Ted Lasso, this could be AppleTV+’s next big hit.

7. Poker Face

From creator Rian Johnson – aka the man who brought you the hilarious murder mystery Knives Out – comes this comedy crime show, anchored by Natasha Lyonne. The guest star roster is just wonderful” Chloe Sevigny, Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Danielle MacDonald, to name just a few. We will definitely be watching.
